SubstrateSource Nymphoides aquatica "Banana Plant" is a fully aquatic, aquarium plant that is native to the United States. The Banana Plant gets its name from the banana shaped cluster of roots at the base of the plant. This plant produces leaves that can be green or brown in color, depending on lighting, and either stay submerged, or float along the surface like lily leaves.
