SubstrateSource Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus) can be grown fully submersed under water and with low light. For optimal growth, tie the the base of the plant to wood or rocks. Our "Half Mat" size is grown on a coco fiber base that's approximately 3 inches by 2.5 inches. The leaves vary in height, mostly in the 5 inch to 9 inch range.
