When installing stud type lifting eye bolts WN 580, it is of utmost importance to ensure that the face is in firm contact with the mating surface. Do not apply load across the face of the ring! The values given are only applicable when the component attached to the ring is steel, cast steel, or cast iron, and is fastened securely to the mating surface. WARNING: Rated capacity is for straight vertical loading. Capacity is drastically reduced when loading at any angle. Loading must never be made an angle greater than 45 from bolt centerline. At an angle of 45, rated capacity is reduced to 1/4 of the value.
