It is included with the scope. However, if the battery has died, that might be a reason why the laser will not illuminate. You can try another CR2032 battery. If the battery is good and still does not turn on: Make sure that the customer uses his/her thumb and forefinger to gently/slowly turn the cap and to make sure the threads are even and then tighten it with a coin. If the cap is on too tight, they need to loosen the cap accordingly. The right amount of pressure needs to be used in order for the battery to make contact with the terminals and power on. Lens crooked: All Red Dot scopes have angled/offset objective lenses. It needs to be this way in order to reflect the laser light off the inner prisms to make the dot straight. The item is not defective if the lens is crooked; it is defective if the lens is straight.
