Description

In observance of New York City Ballet's 14-month worldwide "Balanchine 100" celebration of the centennial of Geroge Balanchine's birth, Nonesuch brings twelve of the choreographer's most distinguished works to DVD for the first time. Issued by exclusive license from PBS' Dance in America and the Balanchine Trust, these programs were the first issued on VHS as installments in the lable's Balanchine Library series in 1995-96, and remain the only authorized video record of Balanchine's work available in the world.
