Description

Sweet sorghum syrup was America's predominant table sweetener before being displaced by processed white crystalline sugar around 1900. Memphis-based Delta BioRenewables has re-introduced this traditional product under its Heritage Valley brand name. Our sweet sorghum syrup is produced by pressing the natural sugar juice from sweet sorghum cane and then removing water using modern stainless steel evaporators to obtain a rich amber-colored syrup. The cooking process not only removes water but carmalizes some of the natural sugars to produce the unique and distinctive sweet sorghum syrup flavor. You get all the natural sugars, flavors and healthful nutrients that Mother Nature puts into the sweet sorghum cane juice. Our Heritage Valley sweet sorghum syrup is produced in small batches in an inspected, permitted, and FDA-registered food production facility. Sweet sorghum syrup is our only food product; we do not handle any other potential allergens in our facility. Step back in time for an all-natural traditional sweetener and flavorant - Heritage Valley brand 100% pure Sweet Sorghum Syrup.
