Easy Money is an advanced personal finance manager, an expense tracker and money management app for elementary or sophisticated users. It can be run on any system running MS Excel (macro-enabled editions - including Office 365). It can also be run on Microsoft Surface Pro tablets and remotely on Android tablets via Microsoft Remote Desktop (if your desktop is running a macro-enabled version of Excel such as the one that comes with an Office 365 subscription). EM cannot be run natively on an Android tablet, an Apple iPad, or an Amazon Fire tablet.

EM features two running modes. A simplified 'Checkbook' mode for users who just want a basic checkbook register and a 'Manager' mode, for users who want full money management features such as expense planning and data importing. No matter which mode you select at startup, EM records all your transactions, month over month, in an easily accessible log screen that you can reference at any time.

EM features a balance forecaster in each register that lets you know how many days, at the current rate of movement, it will take to hit: 1) Your credit limit (if you're using a credit register) 2) A $0 balance (if your in a checking register or 3) Your savings goal (if your in the savings register).

In full-feature mode EM boasts 10 fully functional checkbook style registers that interact with the following screens 1) a screen that lets you manage categories, recurring expenses and lists paid items from your registers 2) a screen that lets you test different spending scenarios to see what works best, 3) an accounts screen that shows all your accounts and balances, charts your balance history and lets you transfer money between accounts 4) a reconcile screen that lets you compare imported bank data with EM data, and 5) a filterable registry recorder that records each expenditure, transfer, and deposit made.

The registers allow for 2 checking accounts, 1 savings, 3 credit card, 2 loan, 1 alternate, and 1 cash account. Easy Money also features modifiable expense categories, category adding, charting and help throughout the app, as well as a menu system that allows you to control all aspects of Excel and EM.

EM allows you to experiment with various spending scenarios and quickly see the effects of planned expenditures. The registry recorder lets you filter items by register, date, description, or category.
