This listing is for one Cool Buddy Deluxe box set including a cooling unit, a large 55" x 63" mattress pad, and a remote control. The large pad size is recommended for cooling two people on either a King or Queen bed. The Cool Buddy Deluxe works by heating or cooling water and then circulating it through a thin mattress pad placed under your fitted sheet, keeping you comfortable all night long using a fraction of the energy it would take to heat or cool your whole house all night long. The Cool Buddy doesn't replace your HVAC system, it simply reduces the night time load, saving you electricity and wear and tear. For example, Cool Buddy USA is based in Houston and before our Cool Buddy we would put our thermostat at 67 to stay comfortable on summer nights. With the Cool Buddy, we now set it on 76. The central AC still runs, keeping the temperature and humidity reasonable and the Cool Buddy takes care of the rest of the cooling, running for less than a penny a night!! Water is chilled using the simple physics of evaporative cooling, so you will hear the sounds of a small electric fan and water trickling over the evaporation membrane, but it's not too loud at 40 decibels on high.
