Petrykivka decorative painting is a phenomenon of the Ukrainian ornamental folk art, which dates back to the 17th century. This manner of hand painting was recognized by the United Nations Organisation as unique form of intangible traditional practices of European culture.

The whole item is four coats lacquer finished giving it a deluxe glossy surface. The floral painting on this jewelry box is signed by the artist to prove its authenticity.
