Includes 1000mL Separatory Funnel with PTFE Stopcock

Description

This set-up includes the support stand, support ring and 1000mL borosilicate (heat resistant) separatory funnel with a PTFE stopcock. Also included is a 1000mL Erlenmeyer flask. Our current separatory funnel has a polyethylene stopper, which we prefer to the glass stopper. PTFE stopcocks are less likely to seize up than glass to glass fittings and do not require expensive lubricant therefore reducing the risk of contamination. This comes with a cast iron support stand with a 6 x 9 base and 24 rod. The cast metal ring with heat-resistant enamel coating is 4" in diameter and can be positioned anywhere on the rod by simply adjusting the thumbscrew. You also get a glass separatory funnel with PTFE stopcock, in 1000mL capacity. It is used for separation of immiscible liquids, mostly for organic chemistry. If you prefer a glass stopcock on your separatory funnel, please request it.
