What is Cascara? Cascara is the dried husk of the coffee cherry. Until recently, Cascara was only consumed in a few countries in the world, a 1,000-year-old secret overshadowed by the popularity of roasted coffee. Now, specialty coffee farmers are producing Cascara for consumption.

Caskai Premium Cascara was selected for its natural sweetness, unique flavor, and nutritional qualities. Our Cascara is between 90% and 100% sun-dried using the power of the sun and natural air flow. During the drying process, our cascara is hand sorted, carefully monitored and then tested in EU certified labs to ensure that it meets strict quality, food safety, flavor, and nutritional standards.

Caskai Premium Cascara is rich in antioxidants and potassium and contains protein, B Vitamins, Vitamin E, essential amino acids, a good balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, fiber, minerals, and naturally occurring caffeine and simple sugars.

Although most commonly consumed as a tea, Caskai Premium Cascara can be ground to a powder and used in smoothies, baking recipes, syrups and many other creative concoctions in the kitchen.
