This is a great sharpening and polishing tool for straight edge razors, knives and tools. Unlike honing or sharpening a blade, stropping the blade re-aligns the indentations without removing any material. We use these strops daily in our own shop to keep our leather tools sharp. The strop is 2 inches (5 cm) wide and 26 inches (66 cm) long. There is a large loop for a handle at one end and a d-ring with a piece of leather cord at the other end for attaching to a barber chair, hook, etc. The natural, undyed leather will darken and gain a nice patina with use.
