All pillowcases are made by hand at plants in Japan. We eschew mass production to focus on quality, limiting the number of items we manufacture each day.
A surface treatment makes it more resistant to oil and dirt, and it can be washed in lukewarm water. The plain weave fabric used features two each of warp and weft threads, woven together. This special order fabric has a moderate thickness, while also offering breathability and stretch.

We recommend ordering a dark navy pillowcase for that purpose.
