One of the best artisanal French salts, Sel Gris is a great gourmet salt that comes in varying shades of grey. Harvested by hand from clay-lined salt ponds in the Gurande region of France, Sel Gris is a crunchy crystalline salt that retains much of its natural moisture. Great for cooking, baking and seasoning on caramel and chocolate confections, the sifted, coarse crystals of Tamis add a pleasing minerality and lasting crunch without overpowering any dish.
