What is the SunGrow Lava Ledge made of?
The all natural mineral ledge for birds and small pets is made entirely of yellow colored pumice stone. This genuine igneous rock is formed during volcanic eruptions and is extremely porous and lightweight. Lava rock is 100% safe for your pets to gnaw on and perch upon.

How do I install the pumice perch?
Each rectangular piece of lightweight lava stone comes with a chew proof bracket and screw attached to the end of it. Decide where to install the pumice perch and slip the screw end through the opening of the cage bars. On the outside of the cage, screw on the matching metal bracket until the lava ledge it tight to the cage. Another fun way to install the grinding stone is by tying rope, sisal or string to the screw and bracket end and hanging it from the center of your bird's cage. Hang it at a height where they can reach it from their perch so they can peck away all day long.
