Govt Mule is back with Shout!, their first studio album in four years. In an unprecedented twist, the double LP includes a download card that includes the 11 standard Mule versions plus a bonus download. Shout! is the bands first ever album to be released on Blue Note Records. Frontman Warren Haynes cites his love for jazz music, especially Blue Note recordings, as one of the reasons why Govt Mule chose to sign with Blue Note. Haynes said, It's those kind of recordings that have convinced all of us in Gov't Mule that the only way to capture improvisational music in the studio is to record as 'live' as possible. We are truly honored to be part of the Blue Note roster.
