OVERVIEW:
A tongue-and-groove joint is stronger than simple butt joints due to the increased gluing surface and mechanical interlocking of the two mating pieces.
As one of the most basic and useful joints, every woodworker should be familiar with cutting the tongue-and-groove.
Tongue-and-groove joints are commonly made on a table saw. But with the right bits, the joints can be made more easily on a router table.
This Migiwata tongue-and-groove router bit set includes two cutters, a tongue cutter and a groove cutter.
The 2 bit system will help you cut a perfect 1/4" high x 1/4" deep interlocking tongue and groove with less effort in flooring, parquetry, paneling, and similar constructions.
