It is native to Europe, North America, and most of Asia. Made from the flowers and hoof-shaped leaves of the plant Tussilago farfara, Coltsfoot has been employed by traditional herbalists in the form of a tea to help support the persistent cough associated with bronchitis, silicosis, and emphysema. - Other practitioners have used the herb in blends intended to be ingested to help support coughs, though the logic behind this use is highly questionable, and could lead to more respiratory irritation. It is often used in combination with Horehound or Marshmallow as a cough supportive. - Traditionally used against diarrhea, bladder irritability, eczema, joint pain, constipation and more. - Stir 1/4 of a teaspoon into a glass of water and consume 3 times daily,with meals. -
