What is 35% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide?
Hydrogen Peroxide (H2o2) is the most effective natural oxidizer, bleaching agent, disinfectant, and the only germicidal agent composed of only water and oxygen. It kills disease organisms by oxidation, and for this reason is considered the most effective natural sanitizer known to science. 35% is the highest standard of purity advised for handling, with extreme care. Food grade refers to the standard of handling and quality in the Food Chemical Codex.

Storing: Although not necessary, for optimal preservation hydrogen peroxide should be refrigerated. Under refrigeration, the reduction in strength is +/- 1-2% per year. When storing unused for greater than one month, it is advisable not to keep cap tightly secured as pressure will build over time. Freezer storage is not necessary and the extension of shelf life beyond what refrigeration provides is negligible, however if you choose to, keep in mind that H2o2 35% does freeze at -28 degrees F, and will thicken at temperatures below 0 degrees F. Standard freezer temperatures are around 0 degrees F, and deep freezing chest freezers go down to around -40 degrees, so use caution.

3% Dilution from 35%: 1:11 ratio. For general handling and use a 3% dilution can be made by dividing the total volume desired by 12 and adding that much H2o2 to the other 11 parts distilled water.
