Operatiing instructions:
once the batteries are placed, the instrument is ready to use (before use, carefully read nd understand the warmings and cautions on the previous age).
1. Turn the sensitivity control fully counter clockwise.
2. Turn the instrument on in a non-contaminated atmosphere by moving the slide switch to the ""ON"" position. The power light should be lit. NO sound will be heard.
3. After the automatic warmup period is completed, about 30 seconds, atiching sound will be heard.
4. Adjust the sensitivity control until a rapid ticking signal is heard(Hi sensitivity)
5. The frequency of the tick is an indication of the sensitivity, retate the knob until the ticking is rapid, for Hi sensitivity, or slow, for Lo Sensitivity.

The BW Technologies GAXT-V-DL GasAlert chlorine dioxide (ClO2) single-gas detector is a handheld, single-gas detector that uses an electrochemical cell sensor to measure chlorine dioxide (ClO2) continuously, and that has audio, visual, and vibration alarms, which alert simultaneously when ClO2 reaches any of four preset levels. The detector has an alphanumeric LCD screen that can be adjusted by the user to show the gas type monitored, the two alarm set-points, the alarm type, the maximum gas level recorded within the previous 24-hour period, the time elapsed since reaching that maximum level, and the battery life remaining. It is operated and adjusted with a single push button. This detector is used to indicate potentially harmful levels of ClO2 gas naturally occurring in the environment; in a variety of occupational settings such as petroleum refineries, tanneries, sewage treatment facilities, and paper mills; and in other personal safety, educational, and ambient monitoring applications.
