Ampersand Encausticbord is made by applying specifically formulated encaustic gesso to sealed Hardbord for a bright, smooth and velvety surface that is ideal for wax painting. The ground is heat-resistant, highly absorbent, and can hold layers of wax and collage without cracking or separating. Perfect for all types of encaustics, oils, image-transfers, and collage. Available in multiple depths. Single panel, 9 x 12 x 1.5 inch thick cradle.
