Remember our country bacon is salt cured and will be salty in nature, if you want to remove some of the salt, soak before cooking. . In addition because it is salt cured it will be shipped without ice packs and will be perfectly safe since the salt removes sufficient moisture so that bacteria will not grow. Refrigerate after you receive it.
