Description

Tavern or Bar puzzle designs date back centuries. Crafted by blacksmiths to tease, challenge and entertain. These are rugged, old-fashioned looking puzzles. They are forged from bent wrought iron with rings, shuttles, bow-shaped pieces and sometimes small chains. Puzzle comes in small cloth drawstring bag. Then packaged a plain white, solid cardboard box. Solution included. PATIENCE is constructed from solid steel. Measures approximately 8 inches stretched out. Object is to remove and then replace the long narrow shuttle (as indicated by the blue arrows). This requires multiple repetitive add-on moves. PATIENCE is a Level 4 "Very Difficult / Very,Very Severe" . One of the most difficult in the entire series of Tavern Puzzles. BONUS Twisted Nails Puzzle. Separate and rejoin the two identical nails. Just for fun. Tavern brand puzzles are hand crafted here in New York. Grouped into four levels of ascending challenges:
1 = Moderate;
2 = Challenging;
3 = Difficult;
4 =Very,Very Severe. Your experience may differ. Level 4 are quite difficult puzzles require learning multiple (12 to 20 +) consecutive movements to release the shuttle. Many puzzlers might expend hundreds of moves before reaching full success. Solve using clever movements and careful positioning of the various metal pieces. NO FORCE is ever required. There are two levels for solving all blacksmith puzzles. The first is removing a ring or shuttle. The second is knowing "HOW" one removed it and having the ability to assemble and disassemble the parts at will.Generally recommended for ages 12 to adult. Some bright 7 to 11 year olds with patience and inquisitive minds will also thoroughly enjoy this style of puzzle.
