We use a thick mylar which will last for hundreds of uses when cleaned and stored properly. The lotus flower is considered sacred to both Buddhists and Hindus alike. They consider it a symbol of many meanings, including the parts of humanity that are close to divinity or immortality, perfection, an example of divine beauty of body, speech, and mind, and the realization of inner potential.
