I have 3 of these filters. One thing for sure, I can see through these. I do believe that these were made specifically for the job they were meant to do. No issues with the air flow.

The Fan Buddy can be vacuumed with a soft brush attachment between washings. To wash, remove The Fan Buddy from the fan. Then simply rinse The Fan Buddy with a garden hose or kitchen / shower sprayer and let dry.
