It controls how long they stay on with the press of a single button. This unit plugs into a wall outlet and then you plug the appliance into the smart countdown timer Outlet. After choosing a pre-set time it will automatically turn off the electricity that is powering the appliance. Press the designed time button, the LED on the selected button will illuminate. Press REPEAT button during a running program, the LED on the REPEAT button illuminates and the current program will repeat every 24 hours.
