Description: Active form of vitamin C stabilized in an elastomer dispersion. Contains 20% pure l-ascorbic acid providing all the antioxidant and anti-aging benefits in an easy to use blend. pH 4.5-5. Off-white to light tan gel texture. Not soluble in water. CAS: 541-02-6, 50-81-7, 63394-02-5, 156065-02-0, 29383-26-4, 29710-25-6 INCI Name: Cyclopentasiloxane, l-ascorbic acid, polysilicone-11, ethylhexyl hydroxystearate Properties: Potent antioxidant (shown to be able to protect skin from oxidative damages). Can improve appearance of aged and fragile skin. Widely used as add-on ingredient in skin-lightening products to correct hyperpigmentation and age spots. Antioxidant effect can be increased by combining L-ascorbic acid with L-ascorbyl palmitate and/or vitamin E. Use: Can be used as (applied directly to skin) or added to cosmetic formulations (e.g. emulsions). Usual final concentration 0.5-100 %. For external use only. Applications: Serums, lotions, sun care & after sun products, sticks & makeup.
