If the car ashtray/change cup is too large to fit in your cup holder with the rubber boot you can easily remove it. Made from black, heavy duty plastic, the car ashtray/change cup can handle hot ashes as well as small bits of garbage and loose coins. This car ashtray/change cup measures approximately 3-1/2 inches tall including the boot, 3-1/8 inches in outside diameter across the center of the boot, 3-3/8 inches in outside diameter at the top of the boot and is 2-3/4 inches deep which allows most fingers to reach inside for loose coins. If you remove the rubber boot, the plastic cup alone measures 3-1/4 inches in outside diameter across the lid and 2-3/4 inches in outside diameter across the bottom. The spring assisted hinge and felt rimmed lid not only hides ashes, cigarette butts and garbage, it also helps the car ashtray/change cup from spilling its contents when closed.
